Lesson Plans for the Week of March 26-30

Passion Project presentations will take place April 2-April 6.

Monday –

  • Finish Alcatraz hyperdoc
  • Hand out new vocabulary (this week’s vocabulary comes from Mr. Bohn and will focus on migration terms)  **Study hard- test on Tuesday, April 10
  • Students will start signing up for a day to present their Passion Project (be sure and ask your child when he/she is presenting so they have all materials and items necessary on that day)

Hw: Perform Passion Project for parents/guardian and return bottom portion of letter and finish “The Emperor and the Nightingale”

Tuesday-

  • Vocabulary Jam with migration terms
  • Show a few Genius Hour presentation videos (discuss expectations and point out what makes a great presentation)
  • Watch the first half of “Breakout from Alcatraz”

Hw: Perform Passion Project for parents/guardian and return bottom portion of letter and finish “The Emperor and the Nightingale”

Wednesday-

  • Take up reading passage
  • Finishing touches on any concerns or questions regarding Genius Hour presentations (make sure all links work, links have been sent to Mrs. Lobue, etc.)
  • Watch the second half of “Breakout from Alcatraz”

Thursday– 

  • Flocabulary Main Idea/Supporting Details Video, Read & Respond, and Quiz
  • Quizizz (context clues, main idea, & author’s purpose)

Friday-

  • School Holiday
