Recently, we completed (and LOVED) a fun monster activity. At home, students drew various monsters. The next day, they had to use adjectives and descriptive language to describe their monster to a partner. The partner couldn’t look at the drawing – they could only listen to their partner’s description. It was fun to see how closely the two drawings matched (or didn’t at all).🤣
This lesson taught the importance of using sensory language, adjectives, and description in order for others to get the same detailed picture in their minds.
