Alcatraz Webquest

This week, we will continue our Alcatraz study. Last week, we learned many facts about “The Rock” or Alcatraz (some of its famous inmates, the daily routine of an inmate, and the history of Alcatraz) through a webquest. This week, we are focusing on one of history’s greatest mysteries – Did Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers escape on June 11, 1962?

Parents, we will be starting Genius Hour on Monday, February 25. Every Monday, students will have time to research, and delve into, something they are passionate about. Throughout this week, please discuss things your child would be interested in learning: a certain animal, war, place, person, how to do or create something, space, science, etc. They will become an expert on their topic and present it to the class. Your help will be crucial throughout this process. I’m looking forward to learning from all our “teachers.”
