Lesson Plans for the Week of 10/21-10/25

It’s SO good to be back after being out for 6 weeks. Thank you for all the sweets notes, comments, and prayers during my recovery from neck surgery. I appreciate all of you!

It’s a new 9 weeks. Be sure and check out your child’s grades in Skyward.

  • List 5 of our best character traits, choose one and write about a time we used/conveyed that character trait

This Friday is my last day before I take off for 6 weeks. I will be having my preop appointment on 9/9 and neck surgery on 9/10. Kathy Phillips will be my long-term sub. I will miss my students but look forward to returning pain-free.

Lesson Plans for the Week of August 19-23

**Parents, be on the lookout for 2 important notes coming home on Monday.

**Students will be getting their computers today. Make sure these are charged each night. Your child will need earbuds or headphones as well.

Monday- 

  • Hand out “Sixth Grade Policies” & “Homework Letter”
  • Set up composition books

HW:

*SEE NOTE THAT WAS SENT HOME: Students will bring in items to decorate the front of their composition books. This can be photos (they won’t be returned in their original form), ticket stubs, stickers, artwork, magazine clippings, clipart, etc. The smaller the items, the more they can fit on the cover. Bring all items in a zip lock bag.  (DUE WEDNESDAY)

*Get “6th Grade Policies” letter signed

Tuesday – 

  • Students will sign up for Google Classroom and all popular sites we use in writing class

HW:

  • Bring items for composition book (due Wednesday)
